New on DVD: October 4 2005
This week we enter October, as evidenced by the horror/thriller line up hitting the shelves to gear up for Halloween. All of these are acquired tastes I would suppose; however I am sure many consider The Fly and The Fog to be a modern classics- by the way, don’t be fooled by the blue Fog packaging- just a rehash of an old DVD to support the remake hitting theatres. The holiday fun also extends to a couple of true Christmas classics seeing early release- Santa Clause the Movie and Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas -both of which I enjoyed as a young lad. We got the Amityville remake, but if you’re thinking about getting this one wait- better versions yet to come. Aside from some other crap and Trekkie fodder, we have an old Disney favorite: Cinderella. This is a sure thing for the ladies in your home and any Disney collections out there- so that would have to take my top pick for the week. Not picuted, yet something I will be picking up: Synchronicity Concert (The Police)!
