i was upstate a week ago, and doing a lot of work this week- so we have a belated new on dvd post spanning 2 weeks of releases. let’s start with the 8th: my pick for this week would have to be tim burton’s rework of charlie and the chocolate factory. it won’t ever be the orginal, but it has that certain burton with a dash of depp you can surely repl upon.

other notable entries for the week include what i assume many people have been dreaming about: beavis & butthead season 1. i don’t think i’ll be owning this one, but i am sure some of you will as this is a mtv classic comedy for a generation. also, better late than never: that police concert dvd i mistakingly posted as being released a couple of weeks ago.. this one will be on my shelf… i just can’t get enough of the police. few other little gems here for certain people: jay and silent bob, big fish (again) and the devil’s rejects. not bad.

for november 15, the pickings were slimmer for my taste, and madagascar easily takes pick of the week. there is a shit load of tv dvd this week- and i guess skeleton key could be ok- i don’t really care for the casting. i bet the walmart thing is interesting- and i suspect this is the 50th dvd release of the sound of music. check out the pic galleries and update your wishlists kiddies.
