i know i haven't been around here in ages, but i thought this would be a good place to start since i know there's a handful of old deep elm forum members here.

i was just talking to billy (a_thousand_words) from the old forums and we were reminiscing about the old message board days and talking about how much we miss it. so we want to try to resurrect it and get everyone back together again and talk music and life and find out what we've all been doing for the past 4 years.

SO WHO'S HERE??? WHO MISSES ALL THE OTHER EMO CRYBABIES JUST AS MUCH AS WE DO?? WHERE ARE YOU!?

i think billy is going to be making a page for us and calling it www.deboardies.com. right now we're just getting everyone/everything together but it is in the works!

AC/DC is certainly one of the most rocking bands in the world, but I'm kind of baffled why they chose to sell their last album exclusively at Wal-Mart, one of the least rocking companies in America. The mystery deepens, as the long-rumored AC/DC Live Rock Band Track Pack will also be sold exclusively at Wal-Mart, which, while it makes financial sense, doesn't rock. At all.

Kotaku says the "Track Pack" will be $30-40 bucks, be released in November, and contain a non-whopping 18 songs, which is also significantly not rocking. Now, the songs are supposed to be playable in Rock Band 1 and 2, but that likely mean they can be exported over, since making them available as a download would negate the Wal-Mart exclusivity. I guess it all comes down to how much you're willing to pay to play "Thunderstruck."

Not being an AC/DC fan, this news does nothing for me.

See here is the difference between Mets fans and ridiculous, pathetic yankee fans. The mets sucked, they were completely and 100% pathetic down the stretch and over the last 2 weeks of the season especially. There is nothing you can say that I havent said about them already and I've probably said much worse.

The mets and yankees were absolutely pathetic. Yet all of you non fans who probably haven't been to a game in 5 years will sit there and defend the disgrace that was the yankees.

WESTPORT, Conn. (AP) -- Paul Newman, the Oscar-winning superstar who personified cool as the anti-hero of such films as "Hud," "Cool Hand Luke" and "The Color of Money" - followed by a second act as an activist, race car driver and popcorn impresario - has died. He was 83.

Newman died Friday at his farmhouse near Westport following a long battle with cancer, publicist Jeff Sanderson said. He was surrounded by his family and close friends.

Newman had quietly turned over the entire value of his ownership in Newman�s Own � the company that makes salad dressing and cookies � to charity. Completed over a two-year period in 2005 and 2006, the amount of his donations to Newman�s Own Foundation Inc. comes to an astounding $120 million. This is unprecedented for any movie star or anyone from what we call Hollywood.
