for those who didn’t come home
it is said, it is not enough to begin to pray, nor to pray aright; nor is it enough to continue for a time to pray; but we must patiently, believingly, continue in prayer until we obtain an answer; and further we have not only to continue in prayer unto the end, but we have also to believe that God does hear us, and will answer our prayers. most frequently we fail in not continuing in prayer until the blessing is obtained, and in not expecting the blessing.
all i know and have are feelings. my family was there, my friends were surrounded by 9-11. every day there is a reminder, and it is rarely less difficult than it was 4 years ago. martin luther king jr. said “..in the end we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” the silence is no less deafening yesterday than it is today, and the answers for me are still not here.
